Dear Dad,
I am proud of you. You may not know it but I am very grateful for you. I love you for all the things you got wrong and all the things you got right. I love you for all that you taught me and all that you didn’t. I know you failed incredibly and probably succeeded incredibly. But, perhaps not in equal amounts as you would have like.
You weren’t perfect. I hope you know that I didn’t expect you to be. I hope you know that I wasn’t completely wrecked when I found out you weren’t.
More than anything Dad, I am grateful that you kept me as close to God as you were able.
So for all that you were, and are… Thank you Dad!
